This partnership brings international connectivity to Greece, powered by Colt — a global digital infrastructure company and joint operator of AS3356, one of the world’s most widely peered and best-connected global networks, as validated by the AS Ranking from CAIDA.org (1st position).
Colt Technology Services is a global company spanning 40+ countries, with over 6,000 employees and more than 80 offices around the world. Its extensive digital infrastructure connects 32,000 buildings across 230 cities, encompassing over 50 Metropolitan Area Networks and 275+ Points of Presence across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and North America’s largest business hubs.
Through this partnership, LANCOM strengthens its international backbone, significantly increasing the capacity and availability of its international circuits from the Balkan Gate in Thessaloniki, which is rapidly evolving into a strategic interconnection hub for Southeastern Europe.
The upgrade to 100G international connectivity sets new standards in speed, reliability, and service quality for LANCOM’s enterprise, provider, and institutional customers, acting as a catalyst for the further development of Greece’s digital infrastructure.
“Our collaboration with Colt marks a milestone for LANCOM and the Greek market as a whole. It reinforces our position as a leader in providing advanced data center, cloud, and telecommunications services, while confirming our commitment to delivering world-class international infrastructure,” said George Nolis, CEO of LANCOM.
With this new interconnection, LANCOM gains access to Colt’s global network, offering faster and more reliable international routes, reduced latency, and enhanced performance for cloud, content delivery, and international connectivity services. LANCOM continues to invest strategically in international partnerships and highcapacity infrastructure, further strengthening Greece’s role as the digital gateway of Southeastern Europe.
