The use of Lancom’s infrastructure and networks is subject to the general terms of use, the violation of which may lead to immediate suspension or termination of the User’s services. Any user, or subscriber without exception, as well as any third party which uses the services or systems provided by Lancom or its network, is subject to these terms.
The latest version of these terms is always posted on Lancom’s official website at http://www.lancom.gr. The company reserves the right to amend the terms hereof without prior notice.
1.GENERAL
1.1. Lancom’s network may be used only for lawful purposes.
1.2. The Company makes every reasonable effort to ensure that browsing its Network is safe for the user. At the same time, it strives to provide accurate, complete, valid, reliable, and up-to-date information.
1.3. Any websites or services of Lancom’s network which, in accordance with the law, are intended exclusively for adults may not be used by minor users. The Company shall not be held liable if, notwithstanding the above, minors voluntarily visit websites or use services that may be considered unsuitable for them.
2. LIABILITY
2.1 The User acknowledges that Lancom is unable to exercise control over the content of the information transmitted through its network and that it does not monitor or exercise any control over the preparation of information passing through it. The User further acknowledges that Lancom hereby excludes all liability in connection with any broadcast or receipt of any kind of information, or the accuracy of their content, or the encryption of information and data.
2.2. Users acknowledge that they must evaluate the posted content and that they are responsible for any risk that may arise from the use of the network. Such risks include any decision by users to rely on the accuracy, completeness, validity, and/or usefulness of any content available on the network.
2.3. The Website may, among other things, provide links to third-party websites and networks, which have full control over the content they post and, consequently, bear full responsibility for the security of their websites, as well as for the legality and validity of their content and services. Users acknowledge that the Company is neither obliged nor able to control the security and content of third-party networks and services to which references are made.
2.4. Although the Company makes every possible effort to protect the Website from digital viruses, it cannot guarantee that it will always be virus-free. Therefore, each user must ensure their own protection (by using antivirus software, virus scanners, or other protective systems) before using the Website or storing any information, software, or content from it on their terminal devices.
3.NETWORK SECURITY AND USER OBLIGATIONS
3.1 Users are required to make lawful and appropriate use of the Network, in compliance with the legislation governing the transmission of data from Greece to European Union Member States and third countries.
3.2 The User is prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of the systems or the network. Any violation may incur penal or civil liability of the User. Lancom will investigate any possible violations and will cooperate with law enforcement agencies, in case of suspicion of a criminal offence. Examples of system or network violations include among others:
3.2.1 Unauthorized monitoring or access to or use of data, networks or systems, including any attempt to detect (scanning, probing) or test the vulnerability of a system or network, or to breach security or authentication measures without proper authorization.
3.2.2 Interference or interruption or deactivation of any user services, server or network by means including, but not limited to overloading, flooding, mail-bombing, denial-of- service attacks, etc.
3.2.3 Sending, storage or distribution of viruses, worms, Trojans, malware, or any other malicious software, harmful for any network or system.
3.2.4 Forgery or alteration of any TCP/IP header packet or any email header section and other network packets.
3.2.5 Attempts to circumvent or alter any service measuring or billing method.
3.2.6 Execution of extensive benchmarking work (IO, CPU, RAM) and Bitcoin software.
3.3 It is further noted that the content contained on the Website at any given time (including, but not limited to, logos, distinctive marks, photographs, texts, announcements, and generally all uploaded files) constitutes the intellectual and industrial property of the Company, as applicable, and is protected by the relevant provisions of Greek, EU, and international law. The use of any content without the written permission of Lancom is strictly prohibited and occurs legal consequences.
4.EMAIL
4.1 The sending of spam mail messages using the Service is strictly prohibited. Emails messages may be considered spam, unless all recipients have explicitly opted to receive such messages from the sender or anticipate receiving similar messages from the sender.
4.2 All emails sent using the Service must include a valid return address (Reply-To) controlled by the User. The headers of email must not be missing, inappropriate or fake. Recipients should be in a position to request cessation of further correspondence from the User, and in such cases, the User shall promptly respect said request and cease to send email messages to the recipient.
4.3. The User will not advertise any material hosted on Lancom’s systems or network uding spam email messages.
4.4 Installation or use of open relay email servers, which forward e-mail messages to an indeterminate number of persons, is strictly prohibited.
5.MISUSE
5.1 Lancom’s network can be used by the User to gain access to other networks around the world, and the end user agrees to comply with Lancom and others networks’ fair usage policies. Furthermore, the User shall comply with published Internet protocols and all relevant directives and standards. If the User’s communications do not comply with these standards, or if the User make excessive use of Lancom’s network to the latter’s detriment of its users, or third parties, Lancom reserves the right to restrict the User’s communications until the User complies with these standards or protocols, or provides solutions acceptable to Lancom, for future use of its services.
5.2 The User is prohibited from knowingly using the services for the spreading of computer viruses, the transmission of any defamatory, offensive, abusive, obscene, threatening material, or material that may cause annoyance, inconvenience, or unnecessary stress, or encourage the commission of illegal acts, or from posting such material on bulletin boards or forums in a manner that constitutes a breach or violation of any person, undertaking or company (including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights).
5.3. The User guarantees to Lancom the accuracy and precision of its personal, corporate, and tax information and is responsible for its correct and prompt updating whenever so required. Forge or false information relating to requests, contracts, agreements, financial data, credit cards, bank accounts, or any other material towards Lancom is expressly prohibited.
5.4 Any attempt to circumvent Lancom’s Terms of Use or Acceptable Use Policy, or any waiver or prohibition against any Lancom system or service, is prohibited.
5.5 Users-subscribers of Lancom’s services must promptly report to the Company any incidents brought to their attention that may cause a problem to the Company’s systems, its technical equipment and the overall smooth operation of the services it provides.
5.6 If the User violates any provision hereof , Lancom is entitled to limit or suspend any or all services provided, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice, at its sole and absolute discretion.
