Lancom & GNM-IX Expand Access to International Networks for the Greek Market
Lancom is expanding its telecommunications services portfolio with the addition of GNM-IX, a distributed international Internet Exchange that interconnects service providers, content networks and digital platforms across multiple locations within a broader peering ecosystem.
By integrating GNM-IX into its portfolio, Lancom enables customers in Greece to access the Internet Exchange’s services directly through its network, without the need to deploy their own PoP abroad. Lancom connects to GNM-IX through a 100G port in Sofia, providing the infrastructure that supports the new service.
This collaboration offers greater capacity options and increased flexibility in addressing different connectivity requirements. For ISPs, carriers, CDNs and enterprises, this translates into easier access to international peering.
Networks connected to the service can access a peering ecosystem that includes major networks such as Meta, Akamai, CDN77 and Hetzner Online. This provides more direct traffic exchange routes, additional routing options and greater flexibility in the design and evolution of their network infrastructure.
For Lancom, the new service further expands its existing connectivity portfolio, strengthening its ability to address a broader range of international connectivity requirements through a single point of cooperation.
